ABOUT US

THE CLUB

The Belfast Rugby Football Club has a long and proud history of involvement in both our community and  our national game at all levels-junior & senior club level, provincial and All Black.

We have a club room's facility situated on Sheldon Park (only 12 kms from the Square) that is the envy of most clubs in the Canterbury region. Our clubrooms boasts a gymnasium and weight room, two bars, a restaurant and large entertainment area which is available to hire for a wide variety of functions.

Although rugby is the foundation of the club we also run a very successful Touch module throughout the summer with children's, men's, women's and mixed teams participating. We also have a close association with both the Belfast Netball Club, Waimak Gaels Gaelic Football Club, Eclipse Marching Club & Belfast Bowling Club.

The Club's fulltime Rugby Manager is Mpho Mbiyozo and our fulltime Facilities Manager is Glenda Spillane

The clubrooms and Sheldon Park are in constant use for Rugby activities and other activities such as Belfast Touch, Rotary Club of Belfast / Kaiapoi (weekly meetings on a Tuesday evening), Social Clubs, Seminars, Weddings and of course activities in our gym and weight rooms.
