Year 5 - Under 10 Tackle

Keep it Positive on the Field and on the Sidelines.

Team Size: 9-a-side.

If a team doesn't have enough players, the game must be played with equal numbers.

Field Size: 35m x 60m Field (Goal to 10m line)

Ball Size: 3

Game Length: 50 minutes - 2x 25 minute halves.

Subs: All players must play half a game, including at least 2 full quarters.  Subs made at half or quarter time.

​​​​​​​Try: Worth 5 points. If score blow-outs are occuring (points differential of 35+), both coaches MUST meet and come to an agreement on how to generate a more even contest.

Tackle: No Fending to face, head or neck region. Tackle must be below the sternum.

Penalty: Tap and pass.

Restart: Tap and pass, to be rotated through all players.

Kicking: Prefer to encourage running and passing.

Lineout: No lineouts.

Scrum: No scrums.
